The preparation of this book required extensive archival research both within Turkey and abroad. In this book, you will find three separate prefaces written in Turkish, Kurdish, and English. These are not identical in content, as each one is tailored to its intended audience and provides complementary information about Iğdır for international readers. I am especially grateful to Münevver Ölçer for her generous assistance with the Kurdish translation.
